When they are young, they want to look older, and when they are older, they want to look younger. Why can't they just be their age ????

Not all women are like that. Some of us are happy with our looks and our age.

Well I am glad I look younger than I am! When I'm 50 I will look much younger, my mother is just the same, so I'm happy! But on the other hand, when you have 2 children and you only look 14 and can get on the bus for half and get asked for id for a 15 film, it isn't quite so good! There are up sides and down sides. Men don't have to worry about going grey, they look distinguished.

The same reason older men dye their hair,like younger women,stay in the gym all day to get that six pack they work so hard for and almost never get,get hair implants,and try doing the things that young people do.Like hanging out all night.Knowing the next morning their back is going to pay for it.

I been asking the same question. Just like when they are young they want older men, but when they are old they want younger men.

Because both men AND women define them by the way they look. Every little curve (or lack of same) is put under a microscope and every little change is treated as a disaster. Worse yet, the "hotter" a woman looks, the haughtier she often seems to get about it, which is unappealing once you get past the first look. Being "hot" might get you catered to, but it won't necessarily land you a decent man who will actually care about you and stick around to make good on it.
To me, the hottest woman is one who looks like herself, has some brains and a sense of humor and isn't wired to the latest trend of the minute. Letting the media and gossip define anything is a great way to ruin most of its value; having personal pizzazz unique to you: priceless.

same with man dude. they dont want to look old. they would always feel young. younger women want to look old for them to do the things of being an old. means they have the authority to do decisions in their own without the approval of others because they're old enough. old man loves younger woman.. younger woman loves older man. vece versa.

Ah, one of those 'perennial questions' - like -
When you have straight hair, why do you want curly or wavy hair? If you are blond, why do you want to be brunette?
Why if you have fat around your belly, MUST you wear low slung / hipster jeans with the 'WIDE' belt that does nothing?
Why do you wear clothing that doesn't meet in the middle and yet hug yourself to keep warm?
Why do you wear sheepskin like long boots and tee-shirts whether the weather is cold or mild? Or those dinky little jackets that only cover your shoulders and breasts?
Women can be so senseless and weired ~ while they suffer for their 'fashion sense.'

B/c we want to either date older guys or younger guys. I'm 16 and I want to date older guys thats why I dress and act older. And if your older its the opposite.

I never did, but i did look 17 at 14 and now im 26 i still get asked for i.d when out so i guess i have had it good
