We can see it all over the Philippines.
"This is a project of Mayor/Congressman ______".
Their alibi is that the people would know that they are doing something "good" for the people.

First of all, it is the money of the people. They should only put
"This is the project of the city/municipal government and the people of _____" or
"This is the project of the city/municipal council of _____and its people"

I totally agree with you on that! It's their frikin job to do those things! It's like a household help leaving her picture and signature on the dishdryer telling everyone in the house that she washed the dishes! They're public servants for crying out loud so we don't owe them anything. And besides, it's not their money they used in creating those projects. Those idiots better understand the real nature of the job before getting into it!

On a recent trip to the Philippines I found that quite unusual. Remove the names unless they're paying for it out of their own pockets.

Also - why do you have to advertise the project? Advertisements cost money - use that money in the project, not on the advertisement.

I do favor that. It sounds like these government people/politicians are just using the media to make sell themselves out... It's a propaganda.

pisses me off! ok lang sana kung name lang nila ilalagay at the bottom of the sign para aware din ang mga tao.. pero hinde, may picture pa at mas malaki pa ang pangalan nila kesa sa kung anong project yun. i think defense mechanism na lang yun since mas malaki ang nakukurakot compared sa nagagawa nila
