ML 270, ML 320, ML 430, S 430, S500?

S-class. The large 4-door sedan.

The ML single handedly tanked Mercedes' reliability rating until the current E-class helped continue the slide.

The SL is a hardtop convertible. It's totally different from the S-class. The SL has it's share of complaints, but nothing I'd consider too major (other than they shouldn't appear at all in a car this expensive).

The S500 is a beautiful car, but the ML and S classes made within the past 5 years have all had pretty disapointing reliability ratings.

I have a 1999 C-43 AMG and it's the most unbelievable car I have ever owned. I'd personally shy away from an S or ML class at this point.

it all depends on your preferences, budget and use.... ML is for SUV or sporty use with space and S series are more of the luxuriious driving and look... and its still a car as compared to the ML series which is an SUV.

the numbers whether 270, 320, 430 or 430 and 500 depends on the power and proportionate fuel consumption that you prefer,,, if you go for S500, you get Power with a guzzling fuel consumption...

hope that helps

Do your research on

before you buy one. Check out the customer satisfaction.

Our ML 320 has been fine for us so far. Stay away from the earlier models. They were working out the kinks. Ours averages about 17 mpg. The ML 430 gets a lot worse gas mileage (bigger engine) but the aesthetic is nicer.

Don't know much about the S class...

The best MBz model is the S500 because it has the removable hard top and the biggest, bestest engine. It also has the highest price tag of production MBz cars. For improved high performance MBz cars, take a look at the AMG SL-65 version of the ultimate high performance MBz car which looks very similar to the S-500.

B 200 turbo, Better on gas and has losts of room. Stay away from older ML's poor quality and the S class is nice but a pig on gas.

I'd stay away from the ML 270 and ML 320 they sound cheap and poorly manufactured. But I don't know much about MB.
