Some of the great minds of the world lived lives dedicated to the betterment of mankind and the world > Art, Humanities, Music, Government, Politics, Medicine, Science, Spirituality, but centuries later we still have not learned some of their basic theories. We still have poverty, famine, hate, wars, diseases of every kind, religious wars, political suppression and dictatorship.
We have been blessed with great minds.. but we have learned very little.

Sorry to say it but there is not people like that anymore in today's world.... and it is because of our education system... In the past Socrates, Plato, and all those famous thinkers used to be it all themselves, from painters, musicians, to being thinkers, astronomers, writers, etc. etc. They did it all... Because they expanded their knowledge by opening their mind to all subjects and not just one... They studied architecture and at the same time astrology, art, and writing... They are the ones that came up w/ the bases of every science of today's world and they will be remembered forever for that.

They are great minds...unfortunately overzealous people spend their time arguig who is right or who know truth instead of actually practicing the ideas presented by these people...
Most of these philosophers and teachers held basic principes of man-kind to be true (regardless of culture)...funny how so many could say the same thing, yet we squablle about being RIGHT then complain as things fall apart.

i think they were great guys, hope-fully we can follow in their footsteps for future generations .Hey, i want my name in some history books, not for commiting crimes, but for enhancing the world in a positive way. so yea..lol
