Usually It means absolutely nothing, its just to fill out a cadence, which is a string of things the quarterback says before the snap.
Occasionally however, it will be an audible, which is the QB changing the play after the team breaks the Huddle.
For example, the coach will say, ok if the quarter back says 27, it means hes changing the play to a QB sneak.
Also teams frequently use a color and a number, like Blue 42, and sometimes the color will mean left or right, and the number will mean a particular play

when he says a series of numbers and then hike, he is calling what is called an "audible". this means that for every number he yells, that goes with a certain player doing a certain play. the quarterback (the guy who is yelling, also the guy who gets the ball) memorizes all of the numbers, looks at the defense, and figures out what will work best and then yells at the rest of the team. then he yells "hike", which means that the guy standing on top of the ball gives him the ball and they start the play.

I think you're your own worse enemy with the quip about being a blonde female. Come on!
The "football guy" is the quarterback and he's just barking out the signal for the next play.

Those are just play calling numbers. Of the 3 numbers you listed they will hike the ball on one of them. They make that decision in the huddle. On "88" would be the call in this case.

This are called "play numbers" they are used as a deception tactic to throw the defense off. It allows the quarterback to try and make the defense jump off-sides or allow the offense to simulate calling a play but not really. It's Like a magician's trick, I 'll show you one hand while the other is picking your pocket!
