It doesn't sound good. Did the eye ever get better? If not, maybe you don't have pink eye or it hasn't responded to the medication. I would call the Dr. and ask them to call in something else. Another thing it is very contageous and I would make sure not to touch it, wash your hands very well with hot soapy water before touching and after to p[revent it from spreading to others or your other eye. You may need an antibiotic, to take by mouth if it's gotten into your system. Call in the morning and see what they say. Don't let it go. Good luck.

Contact your doctor but taking a washcloth and putting it into warm sterile water (boil it and let it cool before placing the clean washcloth in the water) and then placing it on the eye may help for a little bit.

Just make sure you wash the cloth after and don't re-use it or put it on the other eye because it will spread. (TIP: Toss the washcloth right in the washing machine as soon as you are done with it so you don't have to pick it up again and risk re-infecting your eye)

I know this sounds very old fashion (and it is) but my mother would do this to my sister and I when we were little and had pink eye. It was only a temp. relief (until Mom could get us to the doctor in the morning or whatever....)....so if you can't get to the dr. tonight or until later tomorrow...try the warm washcloth for tonight.

Feel Better!!!!!

Your eyelid is swollen r/t to infection. Maybe you need to continue on the eye drops for a little longer. You should see the doctor again and he can advise you what to do.
