Once your country is at war you must rally behind it. You can dissent before or after the war but a good citizen would not visibly and vociferously put down his country and show the enemy that the country is not united enough to win. It shows the enemy that if they bide their time they can out wait the situation. If the enemy believes that we are united and that we will not quit no matter what, there is a chance that their people will put pressure on their trouble makers to give up. The way things are now the Iraqi people figure that we are going to abandon them sooner or later so they are going to lay low and not go up against the trouble makers . They figure that those trouble makers are going to be taking over in the end when the USA bails and they don't want to get punished for their resisting them. That is why when you criticize the war and put your government down, you give mental aid and comfort to the enemy. I am sure that a lot of people do not understand that but some do and they citisize anyway. They are traitors as far as I am concerned.

Because war protestrors are the ones lying about why we're at war, and they're against the idea of victory, which we need whether you want to face it or not. I reiterate that Bush DID NOT lie about the WMD's, and they were not the only reason we went to war in Iraq.

As for Joe McCarthy, just because he went overboard with his accusations, doesn't mean that communists weren't infiltrating America before, during, or after the Cold War.

People like you are able to go to bed at night and feel completely secure.

Regardless of the fact that you are uninformed and looking for any excuse to destroy the current administration and all of the (half the country that supports it, and knows why) good people that are working 24/7 to keep you secure.

Why won't you inform yourself. Why do you speak of things you know nothing about.

Can you pass a written test that makes you prove what the US is defending itself against and what the most relevant time line is regarding our current defense posture.

BTW

Their are no lies in this war, there are only truths that have not yet materialized.

I think we will see the whole truth once the new congress takes it's place.

God help us all.

I don't think you're anti American just because you're against the war.I do think you're either a liar or an outright dumbass if you believe this "Bush lied about WMD's" crap. Any fool with an Internet connection can find about a hundred quotes from Democrats talking about them. Most of them from before Bush became president. If the CIA was lying to ALL our elected officials,we have much bigger problems than Bush.

You are a very bad doctor of spin! The reason a person like Cindy Sheehan is considered "Anti-American" is not that she disapproves of the war. It is because of her seditious behavior intended to cause dissension in our country and our troops during a time of war. It is also because she is lending support to the enemy! Her behavior encourages more bad behavior usually by people who really just do not have a clue, only an attitude! These same people would just find something else to complain about if we pulled every single troop out of a place I would have to say it appears they are badly needed!
During a conflict, to say you are not in support is in effect saying you are with the enemy!
Case in point, Dar-fur. If anyone, including the treasonous witch Sheehan, have any opinions, state them NOW! After Congress authorizes our President to get involved in a conflict, debate time is OVER!

Being anti-war in itself is not anti-American or unpatriotic. It's a personal decision.

Having said that, anyone who actively campaigns in any way against the war is engaged in activity that weakens America.

That is anti-American, unpatriotic, and treasonous when it grows to meet the legal standard of treason. It is also devoid of moral value when you take into consideration the fact that you endanger both American servicemembers as well as the newly freed Iraqi people under the gun of terrorists.

You as a citizen may not have any significant impact on the war itself, but you help to fuel the destructiveness of the press who thinks they can sell you papers by airing your protests.

In my eyes, as a veteran, as long as my own friends are in harms way, you are the crap on the bottom of my shoe if you continue to endanger them while enjoying the comfort of your own home here.

yes your right things have stayed the same, the same lies to the people by the democrats keeps going on,Ted Kennedy just about said the same thing today that he said when we pulled out of Vietnam(of course he was in congress then too)(and he voted for non funding which led to the deaths of thousands of people,to support the South Vietnamese after we left)but back to your question....Its OK if you dont support war,but realize that our interests as a nation, and what you enjoy today can be gone tomorrow in the blink of an eye,the changes can come gradual, unless you had family in the twin towers, then it came swiftly. In my youth I was like you and promoted peace and not war,but then the world changed,I grew up and realized that without war, theres no such thing as peace

Why do people ask if war supporters are going to Iraq to fight?

Maybe we should ask if war opponents are going to join the insurgency.

Your facts are wrong.
