My new year's resolution was to quit masturbation and remain celibet for a while, but i was wondering if that is unhealthy. By abstaining, am i making myself prone to get prostate cancer?

What were you drinking or smoking at New Year's?

Abstinence from sex or masturbation will not make you more prone to prostate or testicular cancer or any other thing. You'll just be horny and think about sex all the time.

What a supid New Year's resolution dude.

It's not unhealthy at all. Whether you notice or not, if you fail to ejaculate for a long period of time, your body gets rid of the excess semen through nocturnal emission (aka "wet dreams"). It's up to you whether you prefer masturbation or wet dreams. Personally, I don't like waking up with a big wet and sticky patch on my underwear, but that's just me. Being celibate is perfectly fine, and doesn't hurt your body physically in any way.

Good luck with that by the way.

You must think there are idiots in the Yahoo Answer forum. Of course it can increase prostate cancer risks if you suppress the natural function of that particular organ.

Geesh... What an underhanded way of seeing how many stupid sheeple there are and a waist of time. You know most people don't know this stuff.

There is nothing nothing unhealhty. if you can control nothing greater than that. But I guess it would be tough. I dont think you need to worry about any effect on your penis or performance. All the best.

That's a new one to me. No it won't bother you in any way. I've been through a period of celibacy and lived. Good luck on that.

Not only cancer, but, if you stop beating it once you have started your dick and balls will turn black shrivel up and fall off. You must continue to beat it for the rest of your life.

I've never heard this one before, but stopping isn't going to be easy. Maybe you should just try to cut back.

Ejaculating just keeps the equipment working properly. If won't hurt you in any way not to c-u-m but why would you not want to when it feels so good.
