There is no harmony- most lyrics/words are just spoken or yelled
and there isn't any melody

I would agree with that...They always have some form of percussion though...Either a drumkit or handclaps...It takes talent to rhyme that fast, but personally I don't consider it "music"...That's just me though.

If you don't know what you are listening for, than you can hardly appreciate it. Just because you've erected some false European ideal regarding musical form does not make you an expert regarding the validity of all musical styles. What about the abscence of any and all rhythm from not only European music, but dance?
And if you can't appreciate the music, maybe you should first appreciate the individuality and poetry.

OLD school rap rhymed.
Some New rap does suck.
But it still music.

yes thats why whenu put music on the search bar u will see rap.r&b so and so. keep on hearing it and if u don't like it then DON'T HEAR IT. not to be mean but c'mon man but if thats wat u think fine with me
