You can't download a sound card. You have to purchase one and install it on the motherboard of the computer. The part inside the tower. You can purchase one from your local computer store. God Bless.

I can't offer you detailed advice, since I don't know what type of computer or sound card you actually have, but check the website of the computer manufacturer, and if it's not there, check the site of the sound card manufacturer. And AMD Athalon is a processor. It tells us nothing about who made the computer, and what other parts are in it. If you post more detailed specifics, I might be able to help in further detail.

That's assuming you had sound before you re-installed Windows XP Pro. If you didn't have sound before that, it's possible you don't have a sound card at all, in which case you will need to buy and install a physical sound card. When you buy a sound card, it will come with the software you need to make it work.

Ok, well first of all we need to know what kind of computer you have. All computers when bought from a manufacturer come with a built in sound card. WIth this information we can download a realtek driver for your sound card from download.com. If we cant find one (which we probably will) you will have to buy a new one, but they are to expensive, you can get one for about $10. Hope this helps.
