Ditto.. I was 33 weeks pregnant yesterday, I have got my scan on Monday. I feel like I'm going to explode. I'm finding that if I go to the shops(even walking for half an hour) I start to get pressure at the bottom of my bump and the next day I can't do or go anywhere. I was suffering from bad back pain but now my pains have gone to the front, everyone keeps saying I have not got long left, I can't wait. This is my 2nd pregnancy and is totally different from the first. I carried little fluid with my first and this time I have put weight on my legs, bum and arms. When people comment I reply.. " I'm happy, I'm pregnant and once the baby is born weight is something that can be changed." If you are finding it hard to work then don't, it could make you start to feel ill and with the baby coming soon you need all the rest you can get before the birth. With regards to the breathlessness I find that if I still at the front of a chair, instead of the arm chair and sit up straight it helps me get my breath back. I haven't found a long term solution.
Good luck xx

Yes, don't let them bother you with saying are there twins... I heard that lot's as well..... I don't think you will really know how big your baby is until you get an ultrasound. I was right on with my measurements (how far along I was)... and since they did an ultrasound when I was 7 weeks and was healthy and baby healthy, they didn't do one after that... I ended up having a 10lb baby! Very healthy boy... and they said all tests came back fine, he was just super healthy. So measurements might not be able to tell a whole lot.
Goodluck and congrats! I know it seems like forever near the end, but that day will come soon enough and you'll get to meet your precious baby :) As long as you are healthy, don't worry about the size. (as big as my baby was I could have had twins in there! lol) I think it's cute though :)

With every woman, the appearance of her belly will vary based on her skeletal structure, weight, posture, position of her internal organs, the baby, and the amount of amniotic fluid, just to name a few! Don't pay much attention to people commenting on your belly. If you are having a difficult time with work, have them give you paperwork for your midwife or doctor to fill out (some will only take paperwork from a doctor) and make accomodations for you so you can continue to work while you're pregnant, if you prefer to work until you're due. It's more effecient for them to make work easier for you than it is to let you off of work and train someone else to do your job for you while you're away. Besides, if they let you off work early, this can deduct from your time home with the baby once you give birth. Be open to suggestions from your employer and work together to come up with a solution that will work for both of you until you go on leave. Good luck!

People used to say that to me, too - my belly was sooo big when I was only 25 weeks!!! After 30 weeks I started loosing weight for unknown reason, most of it from my belly, so it didn't seem to be growing - but the baby is going to be very big anyways. He was 6 lb 7oz at 34 weeks, so by the due day he is probably going to be like 10 lb.... Don't worry about what people say, and be glad the baby is fine and healthy. Would be worse if your belly and baby were too small...

I was huge with my first, I had to finish work 2 weeks earlier than planned as I kept banging my bump. Have yu had a risk assessment, even though part-time your entitaled to breaks, you don't say what it is you do, could you lessen your duties for a while. when the babies head engages your bump should start dropping this may ease the breathlessness. Good luck I was due May 10th everyone said it would come before May I was so huge just one for me also, he finally appeared 25th May!! After being induced 9lb 8oz:o)

We had people in our childbirth class ask me or my wife if we were having twins. We had a 9 lb. 7 oz. boy on 9/3/06. At 4 months, he's now 22 lbs. -- the size of an average 10-month old.

I was also huge when i was pregnant and gave birth to a 9lb 2oz baby with no pain relief! however it is important to have a growth scan and amniotic fluid measured as if the liqour levels are raised it can have clinical implications.

Has the doc measured your baby via ultra sound, you might just have a future 10 pounder in there!
