Well I'd recommend you to get or download mothorola phone tools, wich has a program that will help you convert, cut, copy, edit, and transfer music to your phone.

This would depend on your RAZR.

Anything from the V3i Upwards will play MP3 files without problem, Make sure you always use the Motorola Phone Tools that should have come with your phone. Then the only thing to think about is the space. Try to use a lower quality setting when ripping MP3 files from a CD to maximise the ammount of songs you can fit on your phone.

Hope this helps

Two points. Use a low bit rate for the mp3s I use 64kps, Make sure you put the file in the right folder on the phone (Motorola tools does this by default, other tools you need to make sure). If you access the phone as a drive using Bluetooth again make sure you look in the right place. The built-in tunes, even those that are mp3 are not in the right folder for crossloaded files. You are looking for a folder called "Audio", or MMC(removable) if you have a v3i or better

Download SoundTaxi. It's a program that allows you to convert files from one format to another (for instance, if you have a song that is a .wav file, you can use SoundTaxi to convert it to an .mp3 file. You do have to pay for the full version of this program, but it's only a one-time charge of $14.99. You can download this program from www.sofotex.com/SoundTaxi-download_L40029.html ).
