Yes, fish is definitely a type of meat. It's generally considered a 'white meat' which means no red veiny muscle tissue like cows, pigs, etc. If you're a true vegetarian, it means that even fish is off limits. Fish are living things with blood, hearts, and muscles. Definitely meat.

Depends. If you are speakig biologically, of course the muscle of fish is like the muscle of land animals and is meat.

In the cullinary sense, no. Fish is fish. Fish has a wide range of flavors that cannot be rivaled by the range in meat. It is lighter and is cooked differently, espescially good with citrus. It also looses nothing by pickling it.

Meat is heavy, universally savory, and is best for an evening meal, espescially in the winter months.

Poultry is the third category. Its light like fish, can be savory like meat. Has a light taste that carries other flavors well, and is the best when it comes to deep frying.

Those are the traditional categories as far as cullinary concerns.

As a vegetarian I think so. Also in biology it is classed as one. It is sometimes listed separately as in some religions a person may not be allowed the meat of land animals on holy days but can eat fish.

Yes

yes fish is meat like the others say

if its about vegetarianism then you are not supposed to eat fish as yes, it is meat

however if you are a vegetarian and eat fish then you are not a vegetarian, you are a pescetarian... (basically a veggie who eats meat occasionally)

hope that helps

last time i checked fish were part of the animal kingdom, so yes, its an animal and yes if u eat it you are eating a dead animal, go to www.fishinghurts.com for more info or www.savethefish.com.

It really annoys me when people call themselves veggie and they eat fish, i mean, can you not see the eyes and the mouth! its not a plant is it!
