To an Italian speaking person, it sounds great! Sweet but not so much to be sickly, and exotic and familiar at the same time; anyway, there's nothing Italian, in it, both names are French: Italian for Gabrielle is Gabriella.
And... uh... it also fits if their parents do want a warrior daughter... :-))
