V=(22/7)*7^2*3= 462

V = h*pi*r^2 = (3ft)(22/7)(7ft)^2 = (3)(22)(49)/7 cubic feet

49 * 3* pi = 147 * pi

147 * pi = 462 ft^3 or 462 cubic feet.

(FYI ...I used 22/7 for pi since my computer calc does not have a pi button).

How are you stuck? Where it says pi in the formula, put 22/7. Where it says r in the formula, put 7. Finally, where it says h in the formula, put 3. Now use your calculator to get the answer.

Sorry I dont work in units of ft

But

r is radius = 7 ft = 2.1336 meters
h is height = 3 ft = 0.9144 meters

so

Volume = Pi * r^2 * h = 3.14 * 2.1336^2 * 0.9144 = 13.0705 cubic meters

13.0705 cubic meters is approximately 461.58 cubic feet
