Honestly, i think this is hysterical. So maybe it is legal prostitution, i've done it, if it works, run with it!! Just kidding though, i wouldn't necessarily call it legal prostitution, but a nice trade off between a husband and wife. You solved the problem, and both were satisfied. I think it's great!

SOME marriages ARE nothing more than legal prostitution - the woman gives the man sex (plus domestic chores) and the man supplies the woman with money and consumer goods. Basically thse marriages are long term prostitution, unlike the girls on the corner who hire themselves out by the hour.
And some marriages are a genuine partnership between equals, rather than just trading sex for cash.

He only said that because you're trading a sexual favor for something. You could just as easily have traded something non-sexual (like taking his car to the car wash or giving him a back rub). Marriage is legalized intimacy. It's only like prostitution because you're negotiating using prostitution's trade currency.
He deserves a freebie for being a good husband from time to time, and you deserve a night off from time to time.

And a darned expensive trick most wives turn out to be, when you factor in rent/mortgage, food, clothes, cars, spending money, gifts, etc..... it would probably be much cheaper for most guys to pay by the glass for the milk rather than buying the whole cow. That said, there are many other intangibles involved (love, comfort, companionship, understanding, permanence, etc...) that cause us guys to keep getting married. Be happy and keep giving BJs :)

That's what happens when you sell yourself short....why did you offer to exchange a sexual favour for a non sexual act in return?
No I don't think marriage is just legal prostitution....sex is something for both partners to enjoy, it's not something to be traded off as a means to getting your own way or a favour of some sort....
But yes! I've heard of wives that withhold sex until they get their own way or a dress or something else they want...if they end up feeling used & degraded then the faults all theirs is it not?
If my husband said our marriage was just legal prostitution....I wouldn't give him sex for a month....only joking..

If you define prostitution in the very general sense of exchanging sexual serivces for other benefits, then yes, any relationship can be loosely construed as prostitution. I think it's just a quip, a sound-bite, with not much substance to it. (Especially if you keep in mind the more specific definition of prostitution: "the act or practice of engaging in promiscuous sexual relations especially for money" - as quoted from Merriam-Webster Online.)

Legally binding prostitution... hehe... now how bad would it be if you went to jail for doing favors for your husband! Plus marriage is "normally" a monogamous relationship...
I can relate... my husband and I play warcraft and he sent me 5 gold in the game mail to give him a bj.... it was funny as hell!

absolutely everyone who gets married for money is lacking out on an exceedingly powerful relationship with yet somebody else. I quite have been in a relationship have been money could no longer have mattered somewhat, and we've been constantly able to maintain one yet another happy and make one yet another smile. money makes issues easier, and the better the quantity, there quite maximum possibly would be much less fights approximately it. additionally, in basic terms via fact human beings marry for motives different than love does no longer propose that absolutely everyone does. i could wager that of the marriages that artwork, maximum folk have been for uncomplicated motives, no longer via fact of money or something different than 2 human beings that love one yet another and want to be jointly.

You husband has a warped mind. In reality, even with legal prostitution, it's not a respected profession.
For your husband to come out with such a comment, you should be worried of how he sees you.
