I am 30, married and do not want children ever. Can I find a doctor who will perform the sterilization surgery without me having atleast one child even though I did conceive a year ago and aborted that pregnancy?

At the age of 30, yes, you should be able to find a doctor who will perform the procedure. Many doctors will not do it before the age of 30 or 35 due to the chance of a woman changing her mind. However, most know that by the age of 30 or 35, the woman knows for sure that she wishes to remain childless. Check with the gynecologists in your area...you should have no problems finding one who will agree to the procedure. Good luck!

I had a tubal ligation when I was 35, and when I talked to other women who didn't want children, I found several who had sterilizations in their early 30s. I've heard that you can get plugs for your fallopian tubes, which may make the procedure somewhat reversible, and if you have trouble finding a doctor who will sterilize you, perhaps he/she would be more willing if the procedure were reversible. Anyway, good luck. You should be able to find someone who will do it.
