To solve this question, you need to know the following rule :

To move between the = sigh, the following rule apply :
Addition become Subtraction
Subtraction become Addition
Multiplication become Division
Division become Multiplication

This apply when you move a figure from left to right and right to left as well.

There is not other way out. Memorize the about rule and solving will be easy.

In additional, you need to know the objective of the equation i.e. what is it you need to find. (what in term of what).

Start by making the object in the left hand side and work on moving things that is not the objective to the right hand side and concentrate in working on the right hand side. This would make things easier for you.

In this case, C is the object, try to keep C at the left side of the equation and move D to the right side of the equation.

C/D=pi (move D over to right hand side, so /D become xD)
C =piD

Simple as that.

Because if you take the first equation and multiply both side of the equation by "D" it cancels out the denominator of D and just leaves the other side being piD. This leaaves you with the new equation of C=piD

You can divide the D from the second equation you listed(C=piD), therefore C/D=pi.

the equation for circumference is Pi x D, so you can reverse that by dividing the Circumference by the Diameter
