i am very responsible because i have never had a late paper and if i did was like in the beginning over 6th grade because i didn't know where to put my homework. I've only had 1 late book in my life and my mom and dad say im to young for a phone! im 11 and currently taking advanced lang. art and have one moth to read 5 books i have 4 to go but plan on reading them all night. am i setting a bad example for my 7 year old brother if i get a cell phone too? he said if i get a sidekick from t-mobile he wants one, but if i get all my reading out of the way do you think i should ask them again or give them little hints please help im so confused!

In my opinion, yes, you are too young. My son is the same age, and he's driving his dad and me crazy, but we've made it clear it's not going to happen. However, in a year, maybe two, he will get one for safety reasons, but we will put him in a program in which he can only dial a few numbers--ie: family. I don't want him chatting away with friends on a cell phone at that age.

no i don't think your too young for a cell phone i am a mother of 5 and i will tell you my 8 year old has one. however i only got her prepaid till she gets older and shows me that she can take care of the phone and be responsible with it.... maybe you should ask for that instead... that way your not running up a hugh bill and you prepay for the minutes you talk... tell them that if you can like keep track of some neckalas for a month then cani get a phone and if they say no! tell them i am awfully responsible for my age and do you want me to be a persomn tthat just does hmwrk and without a social life

no you are not. as soon as my kids are old enough they will have one.. let me just say i am sooooo glad they werent around when i was a kid! i didnt want my parents being able to always get a hold of me! i would get you the disney phone, so i could track you. did you know that they can even see how many mph you are traveling?
