Depends how old he is and how old you are. But I suggest talking to him and getting to know him better first.

Be yourself!!! And if he doesn't like you than TOUGH! It's his loss. Don't keep your mouth open for extended periods of time, people who do that look demented and retarded, groom yourself well, go to the store are by some cute brand name clothing (not sure if guys actually look at clothing but the girls will like you), wear make-up, don't stare at him (he'll think you're a creep), be really nice to him, and just act like a nice person and be yourself because don't pretend to be someone else... But these tips up here are really just habits that I can't stand in my friends when they like a guy and guys that like me. And remember the first step is communitcation!!!! SPEAK!
Good-luck!!! And don't go all gawky... And then in a week or so.. Ask him out.. But please make sure he knows who you are.

Whatever you do, don't change yourself for a boy. talk to him, get to know him. just don't research things he likes like football and pretend to know stuff about it, or else he'll think you're someone you're not. Hang out with him, flirt a bit, just don't be so obvious. good luck

Be yourself! Go up to him and talk to him. I love it when girls I like talk to me! Most guys will think you don't even notice them unless you talk to them. Try to flirt with him too, and tell him you like him eventually. That turns me on...!

just talk to him like if he likes sports take an interest in it it will be a good conversation maker and you will have something in common and soomething that you to can do together or he can "teach" you how to do it! wink wink*

uhhh for gosh sakes ask him out, i mean the worst he'll say is no and he cant stop you from likeing him, so do it i mean you have to be the bigger "man" in this case.
