it depends on a couple things. one is how long they live in the Northern Hemisphere, and another is how far north they are.
The reason for this is the amount of sun that comes through to the earth. in the southern hemisphere, a lot of sun comes through, and the people who have lived there for a long time (africans for example) have dark skin to regulate the amount of sun (and thus vitamin D i think) that comes into their body.
in the northern hemisphere, not as much sun comes through, especially further north (in siberia for example) and the people who live there need all the vitamin D they can get. thus, their skin is white to let in the sun.

so back to your final question - because of race intermingling, there will probably never be a white northern hemisphere, but, IF everything worked out, over time black people could turn white, but it would only work the way your talking about if they didnt intermarry with whiter or blacker people, which would probably not happen.

ummm if they changed into something it would not be white. you do realize the first people who lived there were american indians dont you? they did not have white skin. therefore the ideal skin tone for some one living in america is the red/ brown skin american indians had. in time all races in america could develop this red/ brown skin tone - that is a possibility.

EDIT: just realized that skin tone doesnt really pose a threat to our survival anymore, so we wont be selected as fitter by skin tone, so we wont evolve to have a different skin colour anyway.

I suppose it's possible that in a few thousand years darker skin might lighten slightly to adjust to the cooler climate; the genes controlling skin pigmentation are actually very few and insignificant. The real differences between African-Americans and European Americans are ethno-cultural, though, and are hardly limited to skin coloration.

No, it's not true. However, if they continue to breed with non-Africans then skin color will change. Look at people coming here from Africa right now compared to the skin color of the "African Americans" that have been here several generations....they are much paler in comparison...usually arising from someone in the genetic line being non-African.

hahahahahahh lets put them in bleach lol (i am half black so dont think this is a racist comment or anything like that it just came to mind) (half latina, half black)

naw really based on certain things i think people will become more like something like darwins idea but hopefully we can still have a mixture of both because just one will be kinda lame...

Where did you hear this from? White people will remain white regardless what others have said.. Black people will remain black and so on. Oh and Jesus was a white man, he definitely wasn't black, he was Jewish, this we know!!
