I'm just a couple days short of being 36 weeks pregnant now (first pregnancy), I "dropped" nearly a week ago, and I kinda began nesting a few days ago. I say kinda, because I've had a rough pregnancy & on top of that I'm sick now, and everytime I start to do anything I get really tired & worn out and I have to take so many breaks.

I don't sleep through the night anymore, because I feel the crazy need to go rearrange furniture or wash the windows (even the outside ones, at 3 am, when it was snowing!).

**I feel like my body is trying to tell me that the baby is coming soon. I can't explain how it is telling me this, it just is. I suppose it could just be a fear that the baby's going to come early, or just my impatience and wanting to see my baby...but I think the baby's coming within the next couple of weeks.

Anyone else feel this way? Were you right? Any tips for avoiding nesting-my dr's worried about the stress on my body-how do I just tell the urge no and make it go away?

I know that I've only got 9 days more until my son will be considered "full term" so I'm not really too worried about him coming early...it's more the fact that my boyfriend, my mom, and almost everyone else thinks I'm nuts because I keep telling anyone who'll listen "this baby's coming soon!" His mother pats me on the shoulder and says "yes dear, just 5 more weeks" but I really think it's going to be sooner. Maybe I'm interpreting my body's signals wrong and it's just saying "soon = 5 more weeks" or maybe it's not sending me signals at all and it's all in my head...i don't know any more.

Yes, I've been having Braxton Hicks contractions since Thanksgiving, and I've had the pain in so many different places (top of the belly, groin, lower back, & even down into my legs) that I think I'm going to start labor and not even realize they're real until I figure out how regular they are!

As for the nesting, I'm on "suggested bedrest" so I really do need to fight the urge in anyway I can

your urges are your axieties and anticipation, I was the same and delivered twins at 35, perfectly healthy, and son at 36. Just try to do some relaxing things, like listening to meditational tapes /music, reading, I know it is hard, but unpredictable.

I am 38 weeks and I have been going through all those symptoms. I thought for sure my baby would be here already especially since I had my 1st at 35 weeks and my 2nd at 37 weeks. I have been dropped for quite some time now and I have even gave up on trying to guess that what I was feeling was signs that my baby was coming out soon. And about the nesting, just think of it this way, your house is not going anyware, the things you want to do will still be there to do when you have the baby. If the doc is telling you not to do those things then as hard as it is just dont do them. I do know how hard it is but hang in there. Good luck and congratulations ; )

yes. It's nesting. But that doesn't mean the baby will be here tomorrow. I actually had nesting before I even knew I was pregnant!! All three times and then again at different intervals throughout the pregnancy. And i dropped over a month before I had the baby with my first child. So, no. Don't start heading to the hospital yet.

Your body could very well be trying to tell you something. Sometimes, mothers just know things. Instinct, I guess. I have never went into labor on my own, so I cannot tell you from my own personal experiences. The nesting....it's natural, don't just tell it to go away. Your body is just doing what is natural to it. I am a heavy duty cleaner, and nothing has ever happened to me with my pregnancy. If anything, I think it's good. When you get really tired, take a break. Good Luck.

You just need to think to your self that you need rest, once that baby comes you will wish that you had rested and sleep. You do need to be careful because I started raking leaves while I was pregnant and went into early labor even though I wasnt over doing it! Your baby could come within the next 2 weeks though because babies are usually born between 38-40 weeks. You dont know exactly when you conceived so they give you that 2 week gap.

Well i am 37weeks and havent dropped yet. I never got braxton contractions yet either, but my Dr. says he thinks I will be delieving early. They say that you get a burst of energy right before you go into labor. If you pass the 37week everything will be fine, they consider that full-term. I would not worry about it. Good luck though!

Remember that 37 weeks is considered full term - your baby will be fine if he or she comes now!
