Terrorism is an act against the Gov in control of the people. Anyone acting against the US Gov or other world powers will be called a terrorist if that Gov wants to call them that. American citizens will be the next terrorist of the future because if they ever were to act against the Gov that would be awful and the Gov will probably take the first strike in this war of terror...

Terrorism is a term used by governments (and picked up by the media) to define violent or subversive activities by individuals or groups which are intended to overthrow existing power structures. If you asked a 'terrorist' to define himself he would probably say; "I'm a freedom fighter or crusader or revolutionary". Remember, the free settlers in the United States would have been considered 'terrorists'
by the British when they fought the war of independence.

To me the word terrorism is a word used by those in power to belittle others that did acts against them. You will notice that those in power when performing similar acts against others are never called terrorists.

terrorism is , to me, to instill fear and hopelessness in people,,,,,,, doing negative acts towards people who have done nothing to you directly, in a way they cannot foresee or prevent,,,,,, nor do they have a reasonable expectation of protecting theirselves , another goal of it is to disrupt normal daily life
ps: as to your additional detail,,,, no, terrorist isnt just not belonging or going along with someone else,,,,,,, so if someone said "if your not with me, your a terrorist" is just a put-down,,, its picking a negative word and calling someone that,,,,,,,
