ok.. i told my best friend that i liked this guy named justin..and she said she hated him..so i thought i had a chance with him[because some of my friends said he liked me too]..so i flirted with him for a few days and thats when i could tell he really DID like me. now all i have to do is wait for him to ask me that question..but it turns out.. that a day later..hes going out with my best friend!
i was so confused..and dissapointed.i dont know what to do..is she just dating him to make me jealous?

a lot of the time a good friend will say that they dont like a guy because they like him too... believe me! my friend tried to do the same... if this guy acted in interested you, but started to date her... find a better guy... this one obviously wasnt worth your time... as for the friend.. sit her down and talk to her about happened... dont over-react and yell and accuse her of anything... just have a calm sit down chat and say.. "look.. you knew i liked this guy.. why did you say you didnt?" let yourself cool down for a few days then talk to her, if you try to talk to her right after it happened then itll be drama city.. and let her know how you felt about her doin that... write a note.. then read it a few hours later and revise it (if you feel it should be revised)... as for guys... find a new one... one that WONT take your friend over you! and hey, if she is dating him just to make you jealous tell her how cute they are (even if its not true) and propose to him to set you up with one of his friends and go on a double date... if thats the only reason she wants him shell lose interest when she sees that you did...

You should be very angry with your "friend". What a *********., she is dating him because she just can't stand that someone else could be happy. Don't talk to either her of them again. The only thing he did wrong was to make a decision with the wrong head.

She probably told you she hated him because she didn't want you to be after him too.
Or she said "I hate him" but she really liked him, and was overreacting to some negative signal she got from him at that time.

what a little sneak!!! that's really messed up on her part. it seems like she's just trying to compete with you if she doesn't even like the guy.. don't worry. they won't last long.
