Okay, I'll bite. Great teams do not give up more than 35 points to any team in a season, let alone twice.
Case in point? Chokelahoma in 2004. They gave up 35+ points to both Oklahoma State and Texas A&M. And, quite frankly, if they gave up that much to mid-level Big 12 teams, then anybody with brains knew that USC would light up the Sooners like a pinball machine.
Same thing for Ohio State. They gave up big points to Michigan. And while they did ravage a bunch of mediocre teams, they really didn't face a grueling week-in, week-out meatgrinder that Florida faced.
In the end, teams aren't great because of their personnel. They're great because of their intrinsic tough-mindedness. And, quite frankly, Ohio State was found wanting when tough-mindedness was needed the most.

The big 10 for one is way overrated. Secondly, every freakin Nut Lovin Ohio St fan, were already celebrating the coronation of the greatest football team of all time. They forgot one thing, they still had to prove it and they didn't. Hey, Boise State lost no games, they should have ranked above OSU. Face it champions win the game when they need to. OSU won it all in 2002 and deserved it. Four years later, they choked. There is always a next year.

Everyone isn't just those who didn't like them to began with. I like Ohio State and i believe they will bounce back from this lost next season. It's also not that they were overrated its just people's perspective of a team who can win so many games all year finally get to the Bowl Game and lose. Remember, AT ANY GIVEN DAY THE BEST TEAM CAN LOSE AND THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED TO OHIO STATE

I never said that they were overrated, especially with wins over Michigan and Texas. But they did screw up badly in a National Championship game, they had more than enough time to prepare and watch game tape on the team, and they let the game slip through their hands. That game was much worse than the Championship game last year between Texas and USC.

I don't need to give you proof because you watched it last night. Great teams don't get their a sses handed to them, they figure it out and adjust and make it a competitive game. They were totally overmatched by Florida's speed and better coaching. Considering how Michigan got whooped also I'm pissed because a fan I don't think the two best played in the championship last night. Although USC lost 2 games it basically went down to the last play and they never got embarassed.

Well they were the favored to win,by the media, their fans and they were Ranked#1. They did lose to Florida, so I am sure they were overated for at least 1 hour MONDAY night. Is that proof enough?
