clomid only increases your chances for twins. You will have a 4% chance for twins, where as someone else has like 1-2% chance. Cost depends on your drug plan, and where your pharmacy gets it from. Last month it cost me $86 for 10 pills, this month my pharmacy changed distributors and it cost $22 for 15 pills. My drug plan pays nothing.

I took clomid for two months, but I didn't get pregnant. It cost about $35 for a month which is 5 pills. Relatively inexpensive when you consider the costs of other fertility treatments. As far as the risk of multiple babies - it is only a slight increase in your chances of multiples so don't worry about that too much. As far as it working it did make me ovulate so I guess it worked.

if you are ovulating normally then clomid is not an rx,you have to find out by blood test or temperature charting that you are ovulating or not.if not clomid might help otherwise dont disturb your hormones,if you wont get pregnant with in 3-4 cycles then they ll keep increasing the dose and one day clomid wont remain your choice for treatment.
the chances of twins and multiples slightly increases . u can have an ultrasound on 12-13 day of cycle or two days prior to ovulation depending upon your cycle to see how many ovas are developing in that particular cycle, ttc according to your wish if you want twin or single baby..after seeing how many ovas are developing.

As with anything if you are unsure always get a second opinion even just to put your mind at rest.

If you want another drs opinion then you should get it. Whatever makes you sure, or comfortable with a decision.
