I have recently started charting my temps and I cannot tell you how great it is!!! My cycles have a tendency to range from month to month (27 days-32 days) and so I can never tell if my period is late or not. Temping is great because you can not only confirm that you ovulated and when but then you know when to expect your period because it comes very close to 14 days after ovulation. I heard that your own individual luteal phase stays the same month to month but that the time before ovulation can change due to stress, illness, etc. Anyway, ladies I highly recommend charting your "BBT" as it gives you a great deal of knowledge and control of your cycles. Give it a shot! There are free charts online that you can print off to use and the websites will give a description of how to do your charting. It's fun, trust me!

i absolutely agree. my periods are not super irregular but off by a couple of days every month. It really isn't that much work, and for those saying that you must have too much time on your hands, don't knock it before you try it!! it really does give you a wealth of info.

I completely agree with you! Not only is it great for those trying to get pregnant but is can work in reverse as birth control--which is the most effective birth control short of sterilization. It is free, takes seconds a day, and can really empower women about their bodies.
