How do I share a printer between my laptop (windows xp) and my desktop(windows xp)? My laptop is on a wireless network and can access the internet while my desktop is directly connected to the internet through a cable connection, and the desktop is also connected to the printer I want to use. How do i set up a connection between my laptop and the printer?

Make sure that the pc that the printer is attached to shows share the printer in the printer properties. Then go to the other pc and in control panel click on printers and add printer. The next window will ask if it is local or network. Click on network, then let the pc find the printer. Once that is done, you are all set.

Go to the Control Panel and Click on Printers & Fax. Then Right Click on your printer and Click on Sharing. Then Click on "Share this Printer".

You should install the printer drivers on the laptop so it won't ask to find the printer each time you want to print.

You will need to share the printer on your desktop. Then on your laptop you will need to connect to the printer via network connections.

never used a wireless printer but i would start off by right click on the network icon on the taskbar > connect to a network and select your printer and click connect....but if you want to stay connected to the internet as well i think its called a bridge connection
