The old doc needs to send the new doc her medical records. I had to change docs mid pregnancy and luckily the info got sent. If the new doc doesn't have it a lot of testing and stuff has to be done or re-done.

I have to change all the time as I am performing in a show that tours. she must have the last date of ovulation and period, the expected date of delivery and how many weeks or months the last doctor has stated. This is so important because if he doesn't have all the right information the baby can be induced too early or too late ... harming your baby. Also take any blood tests you have had done. If possible get a photocopy of the information the other doctor has written about you

I would recommend obviously getting all her previous records transfered to her new doctor. Also, make sure that she tells the doctor everything that happened in the previous pregnancy, I'm sure the doctor will take the correct precautionary from there.

You'll just want to make sure that all of her chart information is transfered over to the new office. Most doctors offices will change this for you and the entire chart can be faxed over.

All she has to do is call the old dr, or go to the office and tell them to send her medical records to the new dr.
