Can I put a hard drive and a dvd burner in an external case?

I'm going to buy a external hard drive and am thinking about a dvd drive (likely with light scribe if it makes a differance). I was wondering if they can both go in the external case or will I need to install the dvd into the comupter case? The external harddrive is one with a fan and a 320 seagate inside. Thanks for any info!

If you had said DVD reader, I would agree with the others. You can get external DVD readers, you can get cases to make internal DVD readers external. Be careful, on the other hand, of making burners external. A missed bit going from the reader to the computer will never be noticed. A missed bit going the other way can mess up a disk.

Unless you have a specific need to have a portable burner, I would put the DVD into the computer. If you don't, probably, mostly, generally, you won't notice any problems. Except that you occasionally might.

BTW, putting in a DVD into a case is a piece of cake.

The external Hard drive will be in a case that cannot hold anything else, it's nearly air tight.

They do make external DVD drives. Check your electronics store for one.

There are also cases you can get that will turn an internal hard drive/DvD rom into an external.

Open the case and study the configuration of the first one earlier u makes any alternative. Them u screw the different from the bottom and replace with the recent one. uncomplicated as that. P.S. be sure the equipment is turn off and the skill cord is plug out earlier u initiate, also study the practise sheet that u were given such as your newchronic.
