Any reason you would end up on the next episode of "To Catch a Predator" on Dateline?

Seriously, if you didn't enter a contest, it is a scam.

someone called me too, but i had my choice of $2500 cash, cadillac escolade, 10 day trip to hawaii and some other thing. I am no fool so I asked a bunch of questions and they said that all i had to do was sit through a hour and a half seminar. So i asked is there anything i might have to buy or pay for and she said no. the only thing i might have to pay for is if i go with the car i have to pay the registration and taxes and if i choose the hawaii trip i have to pay for the airfare. i am still kinda questioning it because i moved back to cali like four years ago and the person who called me said that my name was drawn in conneticut!? but i could go down to san diego to collect it. I think im goin to call and ask more questions before i waste my time and go. If you've got a contact number then I'd call them back and ask a lot of questions. THERES ALMOST ALWAYS A CATCH

definite scam unless you entered a contest for the car.. Remember if it sounds to good to be true it probably is.. Turn this scam over to the police and let them deal with it. Could be a scam to get you away from your home long enough to clean it out also.

I bet that there are 'setup' and transfer fees mentioned there somewhere..

Or

if you go away...I would leave a VERY big dog behind in your house (ever wonder why YOU have to go to San Diego?)

or..

I would wonder exactly WHICH of your friends is pulling you leg?

Bottom line.. do some checking first... Your corvete may also be labled Matel.

.

Did you or someone enter you in a drawing? If not, you probably didn't win it. If it's legit, they'll give you all the info without making you go out there first. If they refuse, then forget it.

sounds like a major scam.....especially if they said you have to pay to get your prize... i believe i heard that it's against the law to make a "winner" pay to get their prize....
