I think it's not feminine plus I've known people with this name as a nickname. Think of the things that can rhyme with the name. Kids will tease her and it may seem lame to use but teasing can cause some emotional damage to her. Mickel Pickle. Mickel sells for a Nickle....Mickel has a Dickle...you get the idea.

I am going to be honest....please don't take it personally- just food for thought.
I think that the Mickel/ Makala /McKennsy etc. has been soooo overdone! It screams 1990's You can come up with a great name. Ever consider going back to the classic names? (I am 32 not some old lady suggesting this by the way)

There are some beautiful names that are timeless.
Ava
Grace
Julianna
Lauren

You get the idea.

Yeah, thats not a good name. I know an adorable little girl named Brooke Michael (Middle Name) though, so I have no problem with naming the girl Michael... but Mickel...not so much

I don't really care for the name Mickel. Try Nichole or Micheala or something on them lines. It is a very unique and different name but it sounds too much like nickel.

Sorry but it reminds me of nickel, and you don't want people making fun of your daughter.
What about Makayla, something like that but not Mickel!!! ;)

I know someone that is named that and it is a little bit different. She pronounces it mik-ell. Her mom couldn't choose between Michelle and Kelly and that is what she chose instead!! Also, it seems to be a little bit hard for people to remember and/or pronounce. One of the girls we work with is always calling her mic-kale. It is your choice...

I used to go to school with a boy named Mickle. He told me he liked his name, until people called him Mickle the Pickle.
