For your age I'd say it's too much. While you're looking pretty and having fun with all the makeup, don't forget that no matter what the product say, they are still chemicals, and chemicals aren't good for your skin. If you start to cover your face in chemicals from such an early age when you grow older your skin is going to look bad. I'm serious, this happened to one of my friends, so although I'm in my late teens now I still don't use foundation unless I have breakouts. Besides, you're only 12, you're skin probably looks wonderful, and you probably has natural blush, so you don't need those two.

You probably don't need foundation, do you? Even if you have acne or an uneven skin tone, just use concealer sparingly and set with powder. As for the eye makeup, it depends on how much you are wearing. I would say that thick black eyeliner and mascara is too much, especially for a girl your age. I think that a soft or neutral eyeshadow, brown eyeliner and mascara would be appropriate for you. Blush and lipgloss are also good for you to wear. The bottom line is that you should keep your makeup looking semi-natural. (I wore heavy eye makeup when I was your age, and I got a lot of negative attention for it.)

At 12 years old you should not need foundation or power and the eye shadow should be pastels put on lightly the eye liner is not necessary blush is often put on to heavy and the mascara and lip gloss are OK. I am not against make up for young girls just that most young girls put it on wrong I think that all young girls interested in putting on make-up should take a class or go to the mall and have them do it so that you and your parents can decide together what is right and you can be putting it on properly.

I would say that at your age that is too much makeup! On your normal school days wearing foundation, powder, mascara and a little blush should be enough and will look natural and pretty. Only wear a little shadow and liner for special occasions or events.

You have a long time to do all the grown up things you want to do. My daughter is 13 and wears foundation eyeshadow , eye liner and mascara. Do you know that most guys like a girl who doesn't wear all that stuff. The only reason you should have to wear make up is for work...which your to young or going out. Let your skin breath.

i do think so. i know when i was 12, i never wore that much makeup. even when starting high school. now i wear a little, but it takes me a total of about 5 minutes. if your not wearing a lot of each item, then it might be ok, because the point of makeup is to define and play up your face, not make you look like a porcelain doll or a clown. i know at my school, the girls who wear a lot of makeup are the subject of a lot of gossip, even though i know some of them are so nice!! lol. its prolly ok if you wear a little, like maybe a concealer if you have acne, with a neutral brownish eyeshadow or irridescent lavender (the funny colors are weird looking when you wear them), and soft liner, like a deep purple or brown and smudge it, clear mascara with a clear gloss and your all set. if you must you can try blush, but i dont think you need it. : )

To be honest. Wearing makeup at 12 is pointless. I mean im sure youre beautiful the way you are. When i was younger i always wanted to shave because i thought it would be THE coolest thing. Everybody else shaved and they looked sooooo good i thought. But i didnt realize that I was the ONLY one who could see my leg hair. It looked like i had been shaving all along.
When my parents finally gave in and let me shave i was excited. Now shaving is like a chore to me. Boring. Its also a pain. I can't see why i wanted to shave so much back then.
So my point is. Wait to wear makeup. Wait until High School. You don't want to start to early. Because you have to wear makeup for the rest of your life. Why hurry up the process? I know you think that the boys will want to date you because of it but honestly makeup or not. It doesnt matter boys dont even want to date when they are 12 nor should they be allowed to. Just relax. Take your time growing up. Because once you grow up there is no going back. Enjoy not having the worries. Stop trying to bring them. :]

Too much. Natural is the way to be at your age. I'm 19 and I still don't use foundation... I just don't need it so you probably don't need it either. Stick with powder, it's more natural. You probably don't need eye shadow or blush either. One of the things that bother me the most are preteens trying to look older with an extreme amount of makeup that just makes them look like little hookers. Trust me, natural is the way to go.
