Just because you had a bad childhood does not give anyone the right to do the wrong thing as an adult. I get tired of hearing about people that use the excuse that They were mistreated as a child and that is why they act the way they do.
I was sexually assaulted by my best friends parents when I was 8, screwed over several times by friends AND family, and treated horribly by my parents. I chose to rise above those things and be the best person I could. If I do something wrong, I take the blame, I don't try to tell anyone that it was because of anyting other than a bad choice on my part.

No, it's not okay. Just because you have a bad childhood doesn't mean you can blame your whole life on that. You learn the most during childhood, but you develop in your adolescent and adult life. As a child, it's okay to do the wrong thing, but as an adult it is not because you have responsibilities now. Not only to yourself but to others.

I think that although a rough childhood could impact someone's future, it's still important to have morals and do the right things in life. A rough childhood does not permit someone to do bad things. Someone may gain experience and wisdom from a rough start in life, but ultimately it's the person's choice to do the right things. People always have choices, it's up to each individual to choose what kind of life they want to lead.

It is defiantly not okay to do the wrong thing and of course your actions are always your choice.
that being said, things that happen to you or around you as a child may impair your judgment as an adult. things that happen to you as a child can have affects on how you go about making a decision.
i myself went thru some terrible things as a child and last year made some bad choices. i am not blaming what i did on what happened to me. i take full responsibility for my actions, but the things that happened did have an influence on me now. All i can say is i am learning to rise above the influence and i am starting to be the person i want to be, a person i can respect.

There are two answers to your question. No, of course it is "not okay" to repeat those same mistakes.
Most people that repeat this cycle are in one of the two categories:
-They don't know any better.
-They are angry and jealous, and want others to feel what they had to go through. Because they don't know how else to express it.
