The baby starts to prepare for birth in the first pregnancy at about 34-36 weeks. While birth can still be weeks away the baby may "drop" down into the birth canal and put added pressure on the pubic bone.

In the last 6 weeks of pregnancy the baby gains about 1/2 a pound per week. This is the time when the baby grows the most weight. If you would like to know more about your pregnancy, what your baby is doing at this stage and what to expect you can go to www.babycenter.com

On this site you can sign up for weekly and monthly newsletter that gives you an idea of what to expect. You can also speak to other mothers that are about the same gestation as you and see what they are experiencing, sharing stories etc.

I was a part of this site for all of my kids and highly recommend it. I loved see what my baby would look like at this age, how big it could be, what part of the baby is developing etc.

Good luck with your pregnancy and your parently experience.

at around 32 weeks the babys head comes down and that is gettng ready to come out. And Yes, there can be a chance the baby will come out before 40 weeks. My son was born on 37 weeks.

If you give birth sooner I am sure your job will understand. LOL

My daughter was born 9 days before my due date... I had a lot of pressure for a few weeks before, and all I wanted was for her to be OUT of me. If she is already 7lbs, and her head is down, I would say that you really don't have long... like a week, but I am no expert. This is just comming from my own experience, and stories fom friends and family of mine... Good luck

Babies are normally ready to come out between 38 and 40 weeks. If you want to wait until after you go on maternity leave then I suggest you take it easy. Put your feet up at night, and do as little as possible at work. I am 31 weeks pregnant with twins and still working, so i am taking my own advice that way i can wait as long as possible because twins normally come early and i don't want to be put on total bed-rest.

The baby does not start getting ready to come out until the 36th week and then it will still not arrive until the 40th week is up or generally 42wks if it is your first. Be aware that the estimated weight can be 1lb either way. They told me my son was 9lbs when I was 36 wks pregnant but he turned out to be 8lb 10 at 42 weeks.

It sounds normal. There's always a chance a baby can be born before the due date. Get checked by a doctor and be prepared for anything.

You will be fine. Some baby's heads are down for the entire last trimester and sometimes they flip at the last minute. It is natural to make excuses as to why you will go early (since you are dying to see your baby and get your body back) first time pregnancys usually go full term or farther

You could technically have the baby anytime and everything would be fine. You may have false contractions which would explain the pressure. I would talk to your doctor but I would not panic. Keep working if the doctor says it's OK and if you have the baby early work will just have to adjust. :-)

No high quality breeder will enable a doggy to bypass away formerly this is 8 weeks previous. in fact, i think of there's a regulation against it interior the U. S.. this is the age that maximum breeders use. 5 weeks previous is a lot too youthful. they'd desire to study from their mom and their littermate. in the event that they are taken too early, they are very in all probability to improve temperament issues (exceedingly in direction of different dogs). additionally, a high quality breeder takes the time to socialise the domestic dogs with dogs, human beings, infants, strange gadgets, distinctive noises, and extra. this is totally unhappy that there are poor domestic dog generators obtainable promoting such youthful doggies. And alongside with them are the ignorant outdoor breeders that say the dogs will "bond with their guy or woman better" at the same time as relatively it is going to easily create extra themes in a while. some breeders elect to maintain their domestic dogs longer, until 10 or perhaps 12 weeks of age. This looks extra basic interior the Toy breeds or for terribly small litters. needless to say one can not homestead and feed a muddle of 15 super Danes doggies for terribly long. dogs are persons, and at a undeniable element they supply the effect of being to realize a element the place they are waiting to circulate on and bypass to their constantly homestead. I have been given my Leonberger domestic dog from a surprising breeder in Kentucky back in July. He replaced into 8, certainly very nearly 9 weeks previous. He got here from a small muddle, in simple terms 3, and replaced into the final one left on the homestead as his littermates had left the day formerly. with out his littermates there for in simple terms an afternoon or 2, he replaced into thoroughly lost and searching for somebody to instruct him the way. He replaced into waiting to circulate directly to his new homestead.
