You are messing with the chemicals in your body and it is not unusual for first time users of the pill to feel sick, have headaches and have an altered mood. I would give myself another few days to see if your body acclimates itself to the pill, if not, call the doctor and tell him what is going on and see if he can give you something different. There are lots of BCP out there, one of them will work for you without making you sick.

Those are common side effects of the pill. Another side effect is depression. Your side effects should go away after three months if they don't stop before three months than I suggest you go to the dr and perhaps try a different brand. Also if you are very depressed and/or can't take the naseua bad mood etc. I would go to the gyno as soon as possibe.

When I first went on birth control pills I got so sick to my stomach. My doctor couldn't believe it because he said it was the estrogen but I was on fairly low estrogen pills. He switched me to Alesse, which is the lowest estrogen pill available (or was at the time), and that was better but still made me feel a little queasy at times. Then I got switched to a progestin only birth control pill and I don't feel any nausea at all! Progestin only pills are the way for me. Also, the estrogen pills used to give me yeast infections, but I am much better on progestin only.

After a few more days, they'll kind of settle in your body, except for the bad mood thing. Unfortunately, you're taking a hormone, and hormones are the thing that for no availible lighter terms, make us bitchy when we're PMSing. Now, my only thing left to ask is, what kind are they? I can help you as much as possible, I know enough about them, but if I can't answer it, you may need to see your gyno... scary, I know. Just e-mail me at cmp3650787@yahoo.com. After a year of taking almost every kind, I should know.

You might want to try a different brand. I used Yasmine and the only side effect that it had on me was making me cry at almost anything.

These are pretty common side affects. Wait a little bit to see if they go away. If not, you can talk to your doctor and try a different brand to see if it works better for you.

Hormonal therapy side effect but they can be managed, by taking antiemetics. Consult your gynecologist.

YOUR BODY IS GOING TO HAVE TO ADJUST TO THE FOREIGN CHEMICALS YOU ARE PUTTING IN IT. ATLEAST 30DAYS. BIRTH CONTROL WILL ALSO CHANGE YOUR HORMONE LEVELS,GIVE IT TIME, YOU WILL ADJUST. IF STILL FEELING SICK AT STOMACH AFTER 30DAYS, NOTIFY DOCTOR. HOPE THIS HELPS.
