Now im not saying Saddam being executed is a bad thing, as I believe he thoroughly deserved it after all he had done. But the way it was handled made me almost feel sorry for him seeing him taunted with sectarian slogans, an execution to my mind should be dealt professionaly and as dignified to the criminal as possible.
But the xecution was just one more sectarian killing and its
the same reason Iraq is tearing itself apart now.

His being taunted by executioners may have been unacceptable by Western standards, but he died more humanely than the people he murdered.

about accurate on all counts, and the Iraq warfare like maximum conflicts we we've been in no longer become in consumer-friendly words unlawful yet extreme priced and stupid besides. this entire theory about revenge for 9/11 is incorrect, because it become no longer the Iraqi's nor the Afghans that had any portion of this attack, yet those were about all Saudi's, except for 2. international regulation prohibits invading and killing yet another international locations leaders without being sanctioned by way of the UN or international governing body. We went into Iraq strictly for the great factor about Israel, and could more effective than probably have troops there for the subsequent 50 years or so, a useless ringer for in Japan.

I think the killing of any living human is bad for Iraq and any other place on the earth and probably bad for the universe too. I think if aliens were to ever come they would give us a stearn finger shake and say tisk tisk for allowing so many of your own kind to die by your own kind we find ye to be no better then swamp scum if not worse... I hope the aliens will go by person to person when being the judge of our worth cause I sure dont wana end up dead by aliens for something a majority agreed with and supported... LOL aliens LOL

I think he should have been held accountable for the horrible crimes he committed against his people, but I think the execution as a whole was completely mishandled. Unfortunately, our troops are the ones to suffer for the poor choices made by the Iraqui government, and I think it's high time they step up to the plate and start running thier own affairs.

Yes it's great Saddam is out of power, but their new leader needs to step up his troops instead of having the good ol'e USA bail thier butts out.

Period.

The hard truth is that the type of violence Hussein employed was the only thing keeping any semblence of order in Iraq. Simple death is not feared by people in most of Iraq. They seem to embrace dying for their cause as assurance of martyrdom. Freedom in Iraq has only encouraged those who kept silent out of fear of Saddam to commit violence against their fellow countrymen of different sects. The question that has to be answered is whether the different factions in Iraq will ever be able to live peaceably without a dictator willing to level punishment that they truly fear. Whether Saddam should be condemned for his acts should be weighed against what it's going to take to bring stability and order back to Iraq. What level of reprisal is it going to require before they hesitate to resort to violence to achieve their respective goals. The execution only served to alienate the Sunnis further. What he did was monstrous. But even the US has engaged in torture to achieve their goals. The solution for Iraq is likely something that people used to tolerance and rational thinking will not be able to stomach.

no, i think having a self declared dictator who believes in ethnic cleansing of the kurds and wiping them from the face of the earth....is this a serious question? You need to stop reading the pelosi press releases...Iraq and al qaeda is a very serious problem.

not good for iraq, or for any of the interested parties. the political fallout will be problematic at best due to the zealots on all sides. besides all that, though, how can any people call themselves civilized if they condone execution?

no most people are happy because he murdered a lot of people and just let them lie on the streets and many people were cheering when he died.
