Let me tell you a little factoid about Gamestop. You can return any game you get there, because for one if they say we can't take it open. Well tell them, don't you have a shrink wrap machine, you have the ability to make the game new again. I have had arguments with managers in there late teens and early 20's who aren't smart enough to realize that the customer is always right. Just take the game back because it's not affecting you're paycheck. Not only that I called this one young adult out in front of his employees, after giving an attitude. I said young man you say my games open and I can't return it, but how come when I bought a cartridge based game back in the days N64 that was new it had data on it? You know why it had data because employees are allowed to check out software and video games and return back to the store to be sold as NEW. He listened to me after I let the whole store know of employee checkout policies! He got personal and lost.
I used to be a young manager at 19 years old of Babbages, before it became Gamestop and let me tell you, my store was #5 on the east coast and it was because the customer base I brought, and common sense I used when somebody didn't like a game. I made the customer happy because who wants to spend 50 bucks a on wet turd of a game that is horrible. They only give kids a hard time when they return games because most people are intimidated about returning stuff, and it's kind of a power trip for inexperienced managers to have the authority to say no . If you return a game always have a parent, because you have a better chance of exchaning the title because parents can confront the young man or woman in charge of the store better then young teenager.
You can sing a song and dance about your return policy all you want, if the customer has a point and you are a manager, there is always someone higher up that the customer can complain to. If you are trying to prove a point to a customer who treats you with respect you are going to lose the battle.
A wise man says "If you are going to goto war with a gun, then you better have AMMO!

I did that too like a few days ago, if it is used you can only exchange it it for another used game, it cannot be returned. And you have to take it in under 30 days.

are you above 16? If you are, you can return it. If not, go with a guardian that's over 16. I can't return games, since I'm under 16, TT^TT
You can sell it, I guess that's better, because you get trade-in credit or something for other games you wanna buy from there.

Why don't you CALL them instead of asking on Yahoo Answers? Wouldn't that be easier?
