Yes. It's quite common for women as well as men. The dream cycle coincides with the sleep arousal cycle (about every 90 minutes), the same in men and women. With men, it's just more apparent since they get an erection and ejaculate.
Nice surprise, huh? :-)
It happens because the body does for us what we don't do for ourselves to release tension and take care of our sexual needs.

That's natural for people to have Orgasms in their dreams. This is why it happens. Your brain is what controls your body along with the functions of your body.
While you dream your mind truly believes that it is where its at. Now when you are having a Sex dream as I stated your mind assumes its body is their performing the acts as if it would in our consciousness and simply cant distinguish the difference.
Your Brain is what controls everything so when you get excited enough you have your orgasm.

Actually more people have stated that Their sleeping orgasm is better then in real life because you dream of doing things you normally do not do with your spouse.
Multiple partners, Different positions, whatever it might be out of the ordinary.

I have, yes (the term "wet dream")...

My girlfriend said she "thinks" so...

Theoretically, you can have an orgasm whenever, with no stimulation. You body decides when is a good time. SO, if ur having a "really good dream", your body may just say its time...

I've heard women that shower before bed are at higher chances for a "wet dream".... dont know why... i guess women just love showers....

It doesn't happen to all women, but having an orgasm in your sleep is nothing to be concerned about. Enjoy it! I recall that one study found about 33% of women have some kind of sleeping orgasm. In the study, the younger women reported it more often than the older women. Suppression of memories of older women? Liberalized attitudes of younger women? I don't know why.>

it is simply a reflection of your awareness of the physiological change taking place it. it also indicates the flow of your creative energies. A good orgasm experience may be an omen of success or a breakthrough. A frustrating sexual experience usually is a symptom of an energy blockage
