First of all they dont have the same rights to bear arms, you have to be 18 for a rifle or a shotgun and 21 for a handgun, second of all you cant have firearms within i belivve a 1 mile radius of a government building so that would be another nono, and why the **** should they have guns in school for anyway, we have enough problems with kids shooting up schools, if anything we need better protection against ppl bring them in in the first place.

Not pistols, but we were allowed to bring rifles and shotguns to school when I was in high school. We had to leave them in the cars, but a lot of people would hunt before or after school.

The most important thing about guns today is to learn people to respect them properly, learn how to use them appropriately, and learn how to respect other people. It would also help if people would deal will conflicts without reaching for a gun.

My school has never had a school shooting, but others did.

STOP THE MADNESS!!!!…. all of you people who are against this idea are evidently ignorant of your history…it wasn’t too long ago that many schools had indoor shooting ranges in them for use by the local community or had access to one and some schools even had their own shooting teams…it has been proven that firearms mastery raises self confidence, promotes sexual maturity, and increases concentration and marksmanship classes have been used to help rape victims recover…no matter your age you are entitled to the same rights by the constitution and the bill of rights as any other citizen of the united states…Firearms programs NEED to be reintroduced to schools to teach that firearms are just a tool like anything else…they can be dangerous or useful, it all depends on who is using it…as long as applicable training programs and classes go with them firearms should be brought back to schools….the students would certainly learn a lot more than they do in such stupid classes like gym or art.

Of course not. It happens anyway and it doesn't make for a good learning environment, and there is no reason to just make it ok. When you don't feel safe at school, you don't learn. I know from experience. The last thing we need to do is find one more way to hurt this country's education system.
