i mean i didnt know they had a football team but the NC last night and the super bowl next year is being played there???

They dont have a football team. They bought the rights to put their name on it, for advertising purposes. Its the Arizona Cardinals stadium. The Univ Of Phoenix is mostly online and excellerated degree programs. Very expensive to attend.

Well it is not the property of University of Phoenix first of all. It is the Cardinals stadium. Second it is now the home of the Fiesta Bowl each year and all new stadiums get the Super Bowl fairly quickly. It was home for the NC only because it was the Fiesta Bowl's turn to host it this year. Hey I would want everything to be at my stadium when it is first built too if I had to pay 1 billion dollars for it.

The University of Phoenix is the stadium sponsor, not the owner. And they do not have a football team.

yea its like the staples center, its an advertisement. The Universtiy of Phoenix is actually an online education thing. they bought the rights but thats lame because the cardinals will play there next year and no NFL team wants to play on a field named after an online college service.

Their a Corporate Sponsor, they have the Same Naming Rights as "Qwest Field, Heinz Field, Gillette Stadium, and Ford Field".
AZ Cardinals play there and the next Superbowl.

They don't. They paid through the nose for the naming rights for the stadium.
University of Phoenix is mainly an on-line university, ala Tony's House of MBAs.
