to be fair he did score 10 goals in 11 games at one stage. that is a very good record, even if they were against lesser teams, i didnt see anyone else score that many.
i think he is good enough. he has a decent goal record, has very good feet and his hold up play is excellent. he is basically a target man for Englands players such as Cole, Gerrard and Lampard, to hit with their fantastic passing ability for him to flick on and create chances for his strike partner.
most target men dont score their fair share of goals. they tend to be outside the box nodding it on instead of inside the box latching onto through balls. just look at Duncan Ferguson. Great player without an exceptional goal record. Alan Shearer is an exception but he is just brilliant!
the downside to Crouch is that when he does play, England feel they HAVE to use him by hitting the ball to his head and that is not good England traditional play. he gets criticised but it is the midfielders fault for doing that so often. he is bound to lose it some of the time.
he is a good player and deserves his chance but i would much rather have Rooney and Owen!

I disagree. I think he is good enough. Crouch as been among the leading goalscorers since the World Cup. Since his first cap with England, which was in the year 2005, Crouch has already scored 11 goals. Wayne Rooney, one of the fine talents in the Premiership, who also plays as a striker, has scored 12 goals since his first cap in 2003, just to give you a comparison. He does have some trouble with handling the ball at times, but he's good up front and he does well scoring with his head. He's a good goalscorer and I think he's been a key player for the England squad in the recent months.

Crouch, for my section, is in consumer-friendly words good enoug for an section on the bench. He substances an more effective option, yet more effective oftentimes than no longer, he shouldn't commence, because he doesn't have the %. or ball administration that England choose. without out-and-out wingers to deliver the ball into the container, his aims will be constrained besides. And with %. gamers alongside with Lennon, Cole and SWP round, someone like Defoe might want to be more effective useful proper for better 0.5 Rooney up the front.

He is a decent player at Championship Level (level two of the English League System) but nowhere near sharp enough to consistently be a threat to international, or even European Club, defences.

Sure he is good enough. yeah, he is freakishly tall and looks like a daddy long legs running around with a bunch of ants out there but that kid scores. Who else can score a bicycle kick at his heigth. He may end up among Englands greates strikers if he is given a starting position.

I'd agree except for the fact that he can't stop scoring goals whenever he pulls on an England shirt.
He is a very specific type of player. If played to his strengths he is very effective.
If not, he can be fairly easily marshalled.

I think he's good enough but it depends on the situation. He's great in games when England has the majority of the possession but not so good at chasing and poaching.

If we want to start playing a long ball game then yes he is, for anything else i wouldn't even let him bring the water bottles out before a game. Big, slow, gangly and effing useless, every time he's come up against a decent defence he gets taken out of a game - he's crap - end of.

actually it is highly surprising that he becomes a famous football player. he looks like he does not know what's he doing on the field. so he is not even good enough to be a player.
