I downloaded a program called "Spybot" which supposedly cleaned it up, but the same virus keeps popping up. It's little window that says "autoplay" and has a little flashlight, seems like it's looking for something. Now I have run spybot again, but still this same virus has popped up! I am using Mozilla Firefox now, which I thought would help, but no avail. Also, I have anti-virus software (McAfee) which is up-to-date but obviously didn't help. Does anyone know what I can do?? Thanks in advance.

Anti-virus software will usually prevent viruses from infecting your computer, but may not stop them from trying. You also need to do microsoft windows updates to help prevent them from trying. Spybot can remove adware and spyware, but typically does not do much for viruses. Hope this helps.

I suggest that, better; you adopt a system restore operation. It is safe and the problems can be rectified. You have to carefully select the date of restore. Ensure that the PC was functioning normally on the selected date for restoration. If you want to know an effective procedure for system restore please visit the following site.

After successful repairs
Delete all temp internet files including off line content, delete all temp files . Go to add/remove progras and delete all programs that are not required. (These can be done in many ways including disc clean up option) Then defrg the PC.
If you are successful then, select a standard antivirus and an anti spy ware and install in your PC so that the problem does not occur again. There are a number of antivirus and anti spyware in the market. Some are free some are to be purchased. Please visit the following site and select a suitable free antivirus.

To do the virus clean up experts recommend that do it on a safe mode way, which mean reboot your pc into the safe mode then do the scanning and fixing the virus. If you would like to try some free anti virus can go to www.grisoft.com/ and download a free edition of AVG antivirus.

Happy Trying...
