my other games run perfect, i have close to top of the line computer, but it seem when i install doom 3 its slow even to open up, i uninstalled my yahoo dsl internet service & it ran it perfect, but i really need my yahoo internet service it protects my computer..

my computer is a gateway with amd thlon(tm)64 live x2 dual core processor 4200+ 2.0GHz of ram. i updated my compt & then defrangmented, then i put my games in one of them work fine smooth & awsome gameplay, but Doom 3 is the one that just loads slow.....can anyone help me on this.

did you defragment your hard drive after you installed the software?
you always want to defrag your drive after installing any large programs or applications...
