Presumably, by "exterior" you mean the change in direction as you progress from side to side. Since the total change in direction to circumnavigate the polygon once is 360 degrees, it must have 18 sides.

Then each interior angle is 180-20=160 because they are supplementary

160=180(n-2)/n
160n=180(n-2)
160n=180n-360
20n=360
n=18
