Each antidepressant works differently for different people. So, you may get some different responses. With Wellbutrin, you will not be putting on weight like some of the 2nd generation antipsychotic's. If you just started, you won't feel anything until 4 weeks from now.

I've been taking Wellbutrin XL on a daily basis for about three years now. The medication has really helped my moods. The only side effect I have had is sweating spells, which aren't frequent. It may take a few weeks to notice a difference as your body will be adjusting to the medication.

I've had little success with Wellbutrin; the side effects were intolerable: tremor in hands, restlessness, poor sleep, irritable, always feeling cranked up and on edge.
But different people respond differently to meds... Best of luck

Wellbutrin made me very aggitated, and irritable. i did not do well with it. I had the best luck with effexor. Not currently taking medication for depression/aniexty any longer, so i dont know if they've made any changes to the drug or not. I hope i helped. gl!

XL wasn't a problem at all, just seemed to mellow me out during the day and overall just a little relaxed. I did have the ringing in my ears at night after a month's use but I got used to that. No problem with shakes, slept reasonably well for me, no difference in sex, overall it seemed mild and ok for me. It seemed to work on the depression but you see little changes here and there, not all at once.
