To answer your question.. even though you have already answered it... He's back out of the wilderness, and older and hopefully wiser today and may just have the edge on DC...

Having said that, you are aware aren't you, that it will be the media who will have the final say on who will eventually win the General Election..?

William Hague , indeed a man of principle and honest straight talking.
Would have made the best PM since mrs Thatcher.

Unfortunately,modern societys obsession with celebrity, means that policy has little sway at the polls.
The public at large seek someone who meets their aesthetic and image requirements.
In essence,Williams small stature,bald head and private family life denies him the all important aura of an alpha male.Yes I know,ppl are shallow.
The great unwashed dont read the Times,they read Hello magazine,the kind of rag where you could find Blair and Cherie thrusting their young family into the faces of voters a few years ago.

He supports the conservative party and although I dont support the torries I think he was a pretty honest guy (if thats possible for politicians) i think unlike blair, Hague actually cares about this country.
