Because some people do not have the funds or the means to get to the vet asap. For the same reason people are taught CPR that is Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation. All things do not need a vets attention or simply can't wait for a visit to the vet. After years of trial and error good Breeders know the answers to many simple questions asked by lay people. And simple remedies that do not cost a person a lot of money. After all this is question and answer space and not a chat room!Sorry Hey I appreciate all the help I can get!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, take me for example, I live in the middle of nowhere and if something is wrong with my pet, and I'm not sure what is wrong and I'm pretty sure it's not too serious (like a broken bone) then it is easier to ask it on here and get peoples opinions on the subject before driving few hours, and spending $100+ at the vets for something, someone may have been able to tell you over this. And like me, some people are vets or work at a vets office and they are able to give free info, that may have cost the owner a $40 office visit.

I think They ask because they figure someone else's dog might have had the same problem and they might be able to help them out..As Vets are very expensive these days..It costs me 45 Bucks just to see the Vet, let alone the bill I get..So I can understand why someone would ask on Yahoo..
What is wrong with the dog, can you give us any Idea?

nicely, shall we not be harsh right here some ppl don't have the coverage to flow to the overall practitioner so as that they warfare to flow on forums or right here to objective to get some solutions or reassurance and as for the puppy injuries the vet is kinda intense priced extraordinarily now it really is why some ppl are giving them up for adoption in those demanding economic circumstances... it is complicated reason you want them to get better help from a specialist than from yahoo answerers yet often times those medical doctors now a days have a tendency to be a touch obscure or no help so that you study and discover ppl with similar issues... anyhow, if it annoys you a lot do not answer

For that matter-
Why do people ask medical questions about their children?
Why do people ask culinary questions?
Why do people ask questions about education?
The list can go on and on.

Every question can be answered by a paid expert if you can find him.
Someone over this vast net has had some type of experience with the problem you are experiencing.
Why not get a consensus on the answer and arm yourself with knowledge before your appointment with the paid experts?

Coz asking in yahoo answers is free of charge and going to a vet usually cost a fortune!!

Most people only take their pets to the vet if it is really urgent!!
