yes, but hey should not. i'm going to get married young, when i'm 18, i want to. my sister is 21, and getting married a few weeks before her 22nd b-day. that is old though. my 23 year old brother id single, though, and i think he is dumb, b/c there are lots of girls who woul like him. we know someone who was 21 when she got married, and got pregnant the next month. she should be due soon. i thinl people who wait are dumb. they could have so many more kids if they got married early. my Godfather was like 30 when he got married, but my grandmother was only like 20, and in the movie, father of the bride, kay is 20, and ellie was 18. laura ingalls wilder was only like 18. that is how it should still be. some of the middle ages girls were 12. that is insane. i think that 18-22 is good for a girl, and 20-26 id good for a boy.

No, I don't think those things that you listed have anything to do with it. I think that people striving for more education/ and better careers and not being focused on getting married or even dating
is the cause for people getting married later. I got married at 35
and I know that I was more focused on getting my education (masters degree)/ having a career that I enjoyed while also working on financial future (investments).

I think times have changed and people tend to be more oriented towards academic achievement and career goals. I think the family dynamic has changed alot with women more and more often wanting to have a career before settling down and raising a family. Because of this women tend to put off looking for a life partner and tend to get married more often in their late 20's or in their 30's...

Well, being that people used to marry in their mid-teens, you could say that now they're getting married later. How much later, I can't guess, you'd have to look up the statistics.

It's stress, combined with the desire to have more time to explore one's options, that has brought upon a higher average marriage age.

no. i think that people get married way to quickly. they don't take the time to get to know one another. nor do they take the time to think out such life changing decisions and weighing the pros and cons before acting on them.
