I was reading an article on perfumes and colognes that said in the old days that certain perfumes were made with starnge animal extracts. They even mentioned feces being used (apparently an important component) and other extracts. Is this the case? What exactly is Musk meant to mimic anyway, sweet smelling sweat or something???

If they can use toilet water and sell it for 100 bucks a pop they must be doing something right. I don't know about musk... but if I want to smell like that... I just wont go without deodorant for two weeks. I do know that they use fish scales in lipstick though. And fermaldahyde (sp) in mascara and nail polish. EWWWW
